Garry Smod is a character played by Sput.
General Information[]
Trooper Smod is a happy go-lucky guy whose aim is to enforce the law by the book. He opts to talk things out before reaching for any sort of weaponry, even if he adores his state issued revolver.
During the Corretto Investigation, Trooper Smod's mental state deteriorated a large amount leaving him paranoid, checking his trunk often. He is also became prone to outbursts about his potential death.

Gubernatorial Murder Plot (8/29/2024-Concurrent)[]Smod and Steelfist would be dispatched to a car chase involving governor candidate Corretto being held hostage for money. The car chase would end in a gun fight leading to the hostage takers arrest, in the cells he denied doing it for money. Smod and Steelfist took him to interrogation where they brought in John Riggs as well as Sabine Hawthorn, where they learned that another governor candidate named Forelli had one of his men give the job to the hostage taker for $5,000. After offering witness protection they sent him on his way for 5 months and reimbursement for his fines. Their next order of business is questioning Corretto, they also learned they had three days before the election to get this done. Once arriving to where Corretto would meet them, they would talk and Corretto would talk about horrendous misdeeds by troopers. Which ties into the attempts on his life. Corretto's information would link Forelli to another assassination attempt albeit loosely. August 31st, 2024 - The Debate The day of the debate was August 31st, Smod would take campaign rosters from Forelli and Corretto. Once at the debate, Smod and Steelfist's job would be stage duty. Nothing major would happen during the debate besides a couple shootings, one of these shootings supplied Smod with information. The information acquired was Todd Langerhans getting shot in the back by a member of Forrelli's party. The shooter after being released from jail had gotten in a fight outside the prison, he was fighting employees of Todd's Barcade who Smod believes came to kidnap the shooter now known as, Steve Soprana. Todd's employees were then arrested, and one of them had a tear gas launcher. The shooter was picked up by a member of Corretto's party, the driver stated "This is sticky. I'll handle it." One of the employees was taken into interrogation afterwards. Steve Soprana was never seen again. September 1st, 2024 The day after the debate, Smod and Steelfist met up with Corretto and his goons. During the meeting Smod learned that there may be a corrupt DA, Shepard may have put a hit out on Corretto through a dirty SWAT member, and finally learned of what happened during Corretto and Forelli's meeting. He also obtained the shooter from the debate's phone number. During a meeting with Shayde Blackwood, Smod was notified of Daniel Bishop, potentially being involved and has drugged people and taken them to Cayo Perico in the past. As well as Bishop being found off duty at Cuginos (which Forelli potentially owns.) During a second meeting with Shayde Blackwood (whom wanted to be redacted), Smod learned the information that Steve Soprana, the shooter from the night before may have been killed in a kill room behind the Barcade after leaving with the member from Corretto's party now known as Jimmy Jules. Corretto and his right hand man Giovanni Delucci, knew of the killing and talked on the phone about it. This is how Blackwood found out about the happening. Smod then followed up with this lead and went to the hospital to figure out if there was a body found last night, there was no body found. Smod-Fist would then see if they could enter the kill room, trying to find a occupancy permit for the building, as well as getting the two men who conspired to kidnap Soprana's phone numbers. This would lead Smod to get subpoenas for Todd Langerhans, Anthony Corretto, and Giovanni Delucci's phone records, upon Sabine Hawthorn's recommendation. September 2nd, 2024 When Smod woke up, he'd started writing subpoenas for Todd, Corretto, and Delucci however he had to wait for Phoebe Finch (he would later pass these subpoenas off to Theodore Lars.) While he waited he went to the hospital to visit his friend Milo Braun, who had been involved in a lot of situations that Garry promised to help with however he had been too busy. While in the hospital Garry read Milo's diary, it catalogued everything that happened to him, with one of the last lines being this quote "Why didnt Garry Smod help me?" After the hospital, Smod met up with a ADA that Corretto trusts named Theodore Lars, one of three people in Law Enforcement. The DA supplied information regarding to the investigation, including Shepard's hitman's name. After the meeting with the ADA, they proceeded with meeting with a friend of Soprana whom wanted to put in a missing persons report for him. He provided a statement which said "I asked around the barcade about him, and a woman said 'he's dead, check the graveyard." And then proceeded to give a description of the woman, 'Black hair in a ponytail/bun'." He then said that he had saw the woman the same day. Smod and Steelfist, proceeded to check the graveyard where they found multiple disturbed graves, as well as drag marks in the grass. They would call ADA Lars, asking if they could exhume the graves to see if Soprana's body parts are in them. Search warrant would be written. Smod and Steelfist, would then meet with Finch at a park, where they would look over subpoenas for Joe Mcdonald and George Costanzo. They would find very damning proof in their phone messages, regarding to the hit on Steve Soprana. Smod and Steelfist would head to bed that night feeling as if it was all coming to a head soon. Their next course of action would be investigating Captain Shepard and HC. September 3rd, 2024 Their subpoenas would be accepted however they'd have to wait on ADA Lars. Late in Smod's shift, Steelfist and him met with Finch, and got their potential dirty SWAT member Leslie Adams by tricking him into taking a picture with him in his SWAT gear. They would then meet Hawthorn in a park, where the pair would inform her of Shepard's hit as well as Adams involvement. The pair of Troopers were then told that Command was getting a raid ready for the Barcade, which he really shouldn't know. They then learned Adams was Hawthorn's friend of 8 years whom she lived with, Hawthorn then promised to look into both Shepard and Adams. They would then resolve to get Captain James Shepard's phone records and possible bank records. September 4th, 2024 Smod, Steelfist, and their new probationary trooper Paul Leesemann, had a meeting with Corretto and Dr Marlowe. Where they would talk about attempts on Marlowe's life, getting his car shot at near the courthouse, and another involving a sniper who shot a random woman. Nothing of consequence happened that day. September 5th, 2024 Smod would not be around this day, however important evidence would come to light September 6th, 2024 The voting opened this day, violent felons could not vote in the election which Smod thought cut down Corretto's chances of winning by a majority. At some point before both of them came on duty, Shepard scheduled a meeting with Smod. September 7th, 2024 Smod would wake up to having to go to a meeting with, Steelfist, Hawthorn, and Coster. This would be the meeting with Shepard. During this meeting it was claimed that Shepard had to pretend to be corrupt. Smod refuted these claims with the evidence he had found, after refuting these claims very vehemently, Shepard then sent Smod off duty for three days which would ruin his investigation. Smod's resolved that Shepard is 100% corrupt. After ten minutes Smod was let back on duty, and went to dig graves as well as talk about Shepard with Steelfist. Once they dug the graves they did not find Steve Soprana. The pair believe the remains are buried elsewhere. Later on they met with Hawthorn again, where they would talk about Shepard as well as the exit polls. Learning that Corretto, is definitely going to win governor from the exit poll results. September 8th, 2024 - The Day of The Election Smod would wake up to Corretto telling him someone wire tapped his office, as well as informing him that his war room was raided. While in a car chase, it would be official that Corretto was governor. Smod would immediately resolve to interrogate Jimmy Jules, Smod and Steelfist realized this is the point of no return. They would then meet with John Riggs, where they would drop everything they know to him, in case they died. They would then be summoned to Randy Wrangler's office. The pair would then have a meeting with Corretto and crew, where they would find Jimmy Jules (whom would give Smod a shoulder massage.) They would talk about the Tinsel Towers raid and the circumstances behind it. Later on they would talk to Lars while trying to have him in the interrogation, and he said that he isn't allowed to go on duty until talking to Finch, presumably because of writing the subpoenas. September 15th, 2024 After a week, nothing much really happened besides bringing Jules into interrogation, where nothing of consequence would come to light, during this time the Barcade also had a schism between Todd and Roach. During the 15th of September, Smod learned that Finch bought the Barcade, and was transferring ownership to the people that robbed Todd. Smod would also be notified that Jack Burton was fired, this would lead him to investigate why this happened and it appeared that he was fired because he was investigating Roach and had a recording, Smod wanted to acquire this recording. As well as speaking to an IAA Agent who was undercover as Dorjan Galdale. September 16th, 2024 Smod would come on duty that day, with a multitude of objectives; Talk to Burton, speak to the IAA, and try not to die. September 18th, 2024 Smod, Steelfist, and Yackle would meet with the IAA, including their director and Agent Prawn. They would then inform them of everything that had happened in the past weeks. Nothing of consequence would come from this. Smod and Steelfist, would then be called into a meeting with Hawtorn and Coster for his FTO cert. He would get the cert, he would also be told that him and Steelfist could potentially lead the future detective unit CID. |
