Harley Pryor is a character played by PENTA.
General Information[]
Harley Pryor is a whistleblower, Park Ranger, and former State Trooper.
Pryor is interested in learning Spanish, meeting local Latinas who know how to feed themselves, and exposing corruption.
After a long series of events started by Pryor uncovering corruption within the SASP, Pryor was fired and sent to the San Andreas Park Rangers.
Physical Description[]
Pryor is a Caucasian male with a relatively normal build, if slightly on the small side. Pryor sports a strong Fu Manchu, along with a buzz cut courtesy of Turtle Gang. Pryor has two teardrop tattoos on his cheek — one big, and one small — to commemorate a woman he shot on duty and the baby she was pregnant with respectively.
Background Information[]
Pryor is from Atlanta, where he previously worked for CostCo's loss prevention department. He is the son of a tow truck driver. Both his parents live in Hong Kong, and Pryor therefore identifies as Chinese.
When Pryor was 8 years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a Nintendo 64. Christmas morning he ran to the tree and opened the box to find a Sega Genesis instead. Holding back tears, his father said that "There just weren't enough tows this year". Harley stated "When I tow a car, it's so the kids can get the N64 from their daddy for Christmas."
As a cadet, Pryor was extremely open to suggestion, and when his professional judgement was called into question would mindlessly agree with whatever he was told. He did since become a bit more confident in himself, having found out that "Criminals sometimes lie".
Relationships[]
James Shepard[]
An idol and father figure of sorts for Pryor. He refuses to let Shepard be in the wrong, so much so that he even changed his name to "Harvey" because Shepard thought it was his name.
Pryor sends pictures of everyone he shoots to Shepard to prove that he is "SWAT material".
However, recent events (July 2024) have dampened their relationship as Pryor feels betrayed by Shepard for arresting him, causing him to be kidnapped and drugged by Daniel Bishop.
Phoebe Finch[]
A mother figure of sorts for Pryor. She often brings him food and drinks. Pryor sees her as a valuable and trustworthy companion.
Orabelle Winchester[]
Pryor didn't like Winchester for a while due to her heavily insulting him for arresting another officer early on in their relationship.
However, recent events (July 2024) have redeemed her in Pryor's eyes as she helped him escape from the San Andreas State Police's corrupt clutches.
Mark Wheeler[]
Mark is Pryor's best friend. The two met each other very early on in their respective careers; Mark was a Lost hangaround, and Pryor was a cadet.
Even though Mark is a member of the Lost MC, he is Pryor's most trusted confidant. This fact is somewhat amusing, since Mark initially only got close to Pryor because he thought he could get inducted into the Lost by murdering him. After he got inducted, however, Mark realized that he had no real friends outside of the Lost except for Pryor, having had no chances to make friends as a child due to frequent sickness. He therefore resolved to protect Pryor and to treat him as family. He proved himself worthy of Pryor's high trust when he and his fellow Lost sheltered Pryor from the SASP after Orabelle let him out of custody.
